Located in Strathmore, a short drive east of the city of Calgary, Athena is hoping to meet a family that she can lavish with love and licks and devote herself to. A large sized dog weighing 59 pounds, Athena is great with kids aged 6 and older.
Athena is what we call a “ready-to-love” dog. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, house broken, and crate trained. She will be rehomed fully equipped with all her accessories, including her crate, dog bed and favourite toys, as well as her veterinary records. She is a healthy and happy girl.
Athena is a very sweet and loving dog. She loves to cuddle, and enjoys playing fetch. She is not a fan of the snow, and in winter tends to be an indoor dog. She is well behaved, but would benefit from further training to reach her full potential as the best family dog in Alberta.
Her owners are very sad to have to rehome Athena, but they have another dog with whom the pack dynamic is not right. Athena will do best in an only dog home, or one with a submissive dog that will recognize that she is the alpha female.
They are dearly hoping to find Athena a home where kindness, love, patience and respect are paramount, and where she will be cherished and kept safe, happy and healthy for life.
