Here is how our Calgary Dog Rehoming team presented Kargo to attract his new family:

Hi, My name is Kargo!

Kargo - boston terrier for adoption calgary alberta 2

Kargo is a great little guy! He is so full of love and joy. He is 3.5 years old, and weighs 26 pounds. He is a beautiful red and white purebred Boston Terrier. He currently lives with his owners in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Kargo was brought into our family as a puppy. We have another Boston for whom we had hoped he would make a wonderful companion.

Unfortunately he and our older dog do not get along. Kargo is very high energy and our other dog sustained a leg injury which makes her quite protective of herself. Kargo is constantly wanting to engage her in activity, which results in many altercations.

We have given much thought to the situation, and feel that finding a very good home for Kargo is the best solution.

He needs to be an only pet in an active home with people who have lots of time and energy for him. He loves to fetch and will fetch all day if he can. He needs a family that live in their own home and have a securely fenced yard for him to play in.

This is a very special, beloved family companion that we are reluctantly rehoming. We want the very best for him, and hope to find a family who will cherish him, and keep him safe, happy and healthy.

Kargo’s Personality

His affection, obedience, energy, looks, and being a goofball in general.

Kargo’s Current Home Environment

A roomy two story home in the suburbs with a yard for Kargo to play in and explore.

Kargo’s Current Family:

We are a 2 person, 2 dog family. We own and operate a local business in Calgary. We love our dogs and it is with extreme difficulty that we have to make changes and let Kargo go.

Kargo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Fetch, fetch and more fetch! He is high energy and needs several plays throughout the day.

He is also a great walker and loves to chill on the couch with you and get a belly rub when he’s tuckered out.

He’s always been fed high quality dog food and soft treats.

He loves tough rubber chew toys, tug toys, and plays fetch with Wubba toys by Kong.

Cute Kargo Story:

Our other dog Maddy had knee surgery about 2 months after we got Kargo. She was in pain during recovery and would only lay down under the fire place. Even though he would normally be bugging her to play, he knew enough to simply lie down next to her, careful not to get too close, but simply support her.

Why is Kargo Being Rehomed?

We also have an older female Boston in the home. The two dogs lived together well for over 2.5 years but with her decline Kargo has become aggressive and dominant over her. We’ve tried to resolve the situation but it is untenable and we need to split them for the well being of both dogs.

Kargo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We are looking for a loving home who can give him all the attention, love, and exercise he needs and deserves. He must be the only pet in the household to avoid any potential issues, but that’s okay, he lives for you!
