Ruth is just 2 and has a sleek, shiny black coat and absolutely gorgeous green eyes. She has a personality that is every bit as beautiful as she is. Ruth loves to spend time in your lap, purring and cuddling with you. She is more of a love cat than a playful cat, and really forms a special and close bond with her favorite human.
Ruth does play a little and likes to bat at dangly and feathered toys. She is good with people of all ages and sizes, but needs time to warm up to new people. She is fine with cat friendly dogs, as well.
Ruth is currently being fostered by Jennifer, who is dearly hoping to find her a loving, forever home. Ruth is a “special needs cat”, having tested positive to Feline FIV.
Being FIV positive means that Ruth’s immune system is weaker than other cats. Despite this diagnosis, Ruth will have many years of love, laughter, joy and companionship to offer, so long as she is kept indoors and away from other cats.
She can also spread her disease to other cats, so she needs to be the only cat in the home.
Ruth’s foster owner is in a difficult position. She needs to find Ruth a good home ASAP, since her landlord has told her that she cannot have more than 1 pet in her home. Jennifer is willing to cover any costs for vet care, food and litter, if needed, in exchange for a caring cat lover to care for her in their home.

Ruth’s Personality
She is very loving once she gets to know you. She loves tuna but doesn’t play. She likes to knead on you and lick your hands and lay in your lap to be petted.
She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and litter trained.
I would like to have her placed by October 24, 2019. That is when there will be an inspection at my apt. community. If it did not work out with the new family, I would take her back and continue to seek placement for her. I would be glad to incur all expenses for her, such as, medical, food, carrier, etc. I hate to give her up since I love her very much, but I know that I must. Thank you for considering her and reading this. I do not want her euthanized.
