Meet Teggie – Adorable Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso Dog REHOMED in Middletown Connecticut
Looking for an adorable little lap dog for adoption in Middletown CT? Teggie is so sweet and really needs a loving home.
This 10 year old cutie is a sweet mix of Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. He weighs 25 pounds and has a handsome silver and white coat. He is a real people lover, and enjoys nothing more than spending time with you.
Teggie is playful, affectionate and the ultimate lap dog. He travels really well, and loves going places with you. He is happy and content doing whatever you are doing, whether it’s snuggling in your lap, going for a walk, or lying beside you as you work or read.
Teggie is sadly being rehomed by his family, who have no choice but to find him a new home. Teggie has separation anxiety, and really gets upset when left home alone. He needs to be with owners who spend most of their time at home. He would be the ideal companion for a retired or senior couple or individual with all the time in the world for him.
Teggie needs some work on house training. Having his owners company and a predictable day will help with his anxiety and house training. Living in a home with a fenced yard he can access would be ideal.
Health wise, Teggie is doing well. He is blind in one eye, but that does not affect his ability to get around. It may be part of the reason that he suffers from separation anxiety, however. He has been neutered, is up to date on shots and is micro-chipped. In the past, Teggie had been prone to developing bladder stones, which is very common in small dogs. He has not had issues with this in years, and by controlling his diet, this situation can be avoided.
This is one little dog that gives so much love, and just wants your companionship to feel safe and happy. He would make an ideal emotional support dog for the right owner. He is going to need unconditional love and a patient owner who can help him with his house training and anxiety, but he will give back far more than he gets. Please offer Teggie the loving home he needs and deserves today! He can’t wait to snuggle with you!
