Poppy’s Personality

Happy beyond belief. Everything amazes her, and she loves life. Poppy loves to play fetch, has favorite toys and really enjoys chewing on bully sticks. Although she’s very tiny, she’s got a big personality and loves to jump, run and play. She enjoys daily short walks, doesn’t mind the cold as long as she has a coat on, and really likes being outside (leashed). She loves to meet new people, and likes kids of all sizes. She is also dog friendly, and doesn’t have a lot of fear, so I am protective of her when other dogs are present. She will wag her tail for anyone, any time.

Poppy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Short walks outside, rides in the car and zoomies and what Poppy is all about. She’s happy to go anywhere in the car, loves going to the pet store, or just doing grocery pick-ups.

She loves her big yellow bird, and will play tug with her as long as you are willing to!

Poppy’s recall word is “treat”. She loves her treats, and will come from anywhere to get one.

Cute Poppy Story:

Poppy loves blueberries. I give her 4 every morning before her breakfast. She bats them around like a cat, and plays with them before she eats them. She has so much fun with her blueberries.

Why is Poppy Being Rehomed?

I am 72 years old and recently had a huge health setback and can’t live alone any longer. I had to move in with my kids, who adopted a child and just found out has asthma and a severe allergy to dogs. They are now in the process of rehoming their own dogs. Our hearts are heavy.

She could definitely thrive in a home with another small dog, she is playful and loves other pets. She also loves children of all ages and sizes.
