Just 4 years old in April and weighing 10.6 pounds, Yuki has been fixed, fully vaccinated, vet checked, litter trained and lovingly cared-for by her owner. Yuki is a very affectionate and loveable cat. She is good with older children, adults and cat-friendly dogs.

Yuki’s owner is very sad to have to rehome her cherished Cat, but work demands make it difficult to give Yuki the time and attention she needs to be a happy girl. She is hoping to find a new home for Yuki where this special cat will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for the rest of her life. Yuki will make an amazing companion for someone who spends much of their time at home. She is such a great companion – so loving and attentive.

Yuki’s Personality
She’s a balance of independent and loving. But I’ve discovered she actually is more relational than I have thought. I learned this because I’ve been home more in recent months and she is soooo happy.
I think the “independence” came out of me being gone a lot. She really thrives with sweet talk and attention. She loves her head and shoulders to be petted and then she likes a belly rub.
She does give love bites on occasion, gentle. And loves to give kisses. She doesn’t love a lot of loud sounds or too much chaos which I think teenagers sometimes bring. So I’d say she is more sensitive.
But she doesn’t shy away from people or visitors. She definitely likes to hang around them and if they’re cat people she knows it and says hi. She’s really sweet. I did let her go in/outdoors for a couple of years, and as a result I think she really loves to play because of the stimulation she got from the outdoors. I think she’d be happy to have an outdoor space if that was available.
Why is Yuki Being Rehomed?
I am engaged and plan to move in with my partner who has three teenage kids. We also travel a lot. She is a cat that needs love and attention to really thrive and the combo of not being around as much and anticipating moving with kids makes me concerned for her.
She likes a quiet home where she is the main squeeze. She has a dog brother so it’s possible she would adapt to a gentle dog who would give her space to warm up to.
Not right at this time, but I will be traveling for 10 days in February.
